About the Project
The Griffin Road Drainage Improvements project was completed within the City of Chipley to increase drainage capacity and relieve flooding in the Griffin Road area. The work centered on a new double-barrel concrete box culvert and new lateral ditch excavation, along with the roadway, utility, and restoration work required to finish the improvements.
GCUC delivered the full package in an active municipal corridor: the double 10′ x 7′ box culvert, roughly 550 linear feet of new lateral ditch, roadway excavation and reconstruction, guardrail, riprap erosion protection, pavement markings, sod and site restoration, and a directional-bore relocation of the 8″ water main. Work began in February 2026.
